Popular comedian and content creator, Ajeezay has shared details of how he played a role in the early breakthrough of award-winning musician Black Sherif, popularly known as Blacko.
Speaking in a recent video he posted on YouTube, Ajeezay mentioned that although Black Sherif has spoken about his journey in several interviews, he felt it was essential to share his side of the story to inspire young talents.
“Blacko has been saying this during his interviews, but I want to tell my side of the story. You would have to appreciate how far Blacko has come and you will be very proud of him,” he said.
According to Ajeezay, talent and passion, coupled with support from just a few people, can be enough to spark success.
“If you have talent or passion for something, you don’t need too many people to believe in you before you can succeed. One person or two is okay to make everything make sense,” he stated.
He continued, “Whatever you’re doing, just get one or two people who can help you form a team and once they’re always with you, you will make it.”

He explained that Black Sherif’s big break came after he received a message from one of the musician’s associates in 2019.
“I received a message from one of Blacko’s guys one day and he asked me to check Blacko’s talent out. He sent a video, I watched it and the guy asked me to share it on my social media platforms,” he recounted.
Ajeezay disclosed that the message, which included Black Sherif’s Instagram handle, was sent on July 18, 2019.
“The guy told me Blacko is his junior and he added his Instagram username. That was on July 18, 2019. I had prepared to go to bed and I decided to post it,” he said.
According to him, the video went viral and continued trending until it caught the attention of music producers, which eventually launched Black Sherif into the spotlight.
“When I woke up, the video had gone viral. The video was trending till some producers noticed him and that was it,” Ajeezay added.
