Ghanaian Amapiano sensation DJ Azonto has confessed that the flashy cars he was seen driving in were rented and just for hype purposes.

DJ Azonto has in the recent past been spotted with a fleet of high-end vehicles, including Maserati, Mercedes Benz AMG, and Range Rover, parked at his house.

Speaking in an interview with Joy Prime on September 19, 2025, DJ Azonto confessed that he was now broke and stated categorically that the cars did not belong to him.

“All the cars you saw me in were rented, and none of them belonged to me. I am really broke now, and now I take public transport.

“I am calling on investors to come help out because I have more music in me to give fans,” DJ Azonto said.

The ‘Fa No Fom’ hitmaker also pleaded with event organisers to invite him to shows so that he could earn a living, as things were difficult now.

DJ Azonto has generated massive buzz in the music industry following the release of his “Attasa” single, which is making waves.

The Amapiano King says he is the sole owner of the popular social media term, and anybody who wants to use it would require permission from him.

He also recently fumed at Nigerian artistes using the “Attassa” term without authorisation and sent them a strong warning.
