Ghanaian content creator, David Mensah popularly known as ‘David Entertainer’ has recounted a hilarious chapter in his life where he lost a girl he loved because of skit making.

Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM on August 7, 2025, David stated that the girl’s family did not approve of their relationship because they thought he wasn’t earning much enough to take care of the girl.

According to him, he later had to send them proof of his Facebook earnings and that changed their perception about him but by then, it was too late.

“Because I’m a skit maker, I lost a girl. The girl was asked what I do for a living and she said I’m skit maker. I told her she shouldn’t have told them I’m a skit maker, she should have said I’m a content creator” he said.

He continued, “It’s about time Ghanaians accept that content creation is a new profession. When that happened, they were asking her why she was with me and would I be able to take care of her?”

The popular skit maker added, “After everything, I went to my Facebook and took screenshots of all my monthly earnings and sent to the girl so she could also forward it to her sister. They were surprised but then it’s too late and they’ve already judged me.”
