Atalanta BC head coach Raffaele Palladino says he will rely heavily on squad players such as Ghana winger Kamaldeen Sulemana as the club enters a crucial stage of the season while competing on three fronts.
The Serie A side currently sit seventh in the Serie A standings as they push for European qualification. Atalanta also remain active in both the UEFA Champions League and the Coppa Italia.
They are set to face FC Bayern Munich in the Champions League Round of 16, while their Coppa Italia semi-final tie against SS Lazio remains finely balanced following a 2-2 first-leg draw in Rome.
Sulemana made a notable impact in that encounter, coming off the bench in the 76th minute to assist fellow substitute Yunus Musah for Atalanta’s equalizer.
Palladino praised the contributions of his fringe players after the match, emphasizing the importance of squad depth with a packed fixture schedule.
Sulemana has recorded three goals and one assist in 30 appearances this season. The 23-year-old could also feature for the Ghana national football team in upcoming international friendlies against Austria and Germany later this month.
