Stella Aba Seal is a Ghanaian gospel musician

Multiple award-winning Ghanaian gospel musician Stella Aba Seal has recounted how her former bosses forced her to resign from her job in the early days of her career.

In an interview with Kafui Dey, shared on X on February 27, 2026, the renowned musician revealed that she did not like her first two bosses because of the conditions they attached to her employment.

According to her, they attempted to pressure her into adopting a lifestyle she was uncomfortable with.

She explained that after work, her bosses would ask her to go out with them, adding that one of them even asked her to quit her job if she was not willing to comply.

“The first two bosses, I didn’t like either of them because of the kind of conditions they attached to the job. After work, they would say, ‘Let’s go and sit somewhere and have a beer.’ I told them, ‘We’ve closed for the day. I have things to do. I have to go home. I’m not going to sit out when I have to go to church.’

“That’s how I lost those two jobs. One of them told me, ‘If you’re not willing to go out with me after work, then I can’t work with you.’ I said, ‘Fine,’ and I walked away,” she said.

The gospel singer also offered advice to men who demand sexual favors from women before offering them employment.

“If a young woman is looking for a job, please don’t do that. What do you gain from it? It doesn’t even happen just once; anytime they feel like it, they ask. I’ve even heard that when the ladies get married and become pregnant, they still demand it.

“Whatever you sow, you will reap. Take it from me, that pain will follow you. And if you, the boss, do not reap it yourself, it will follow your children,” she added.
