Prophet Francis Amoako Atta of Parliament Chapel International has shared a striking account of his final meeting with Ghanaian highlife artiste Daddy Lumba.

In an interview, the prophet recalled the emotional encounter, describing how the legendary musician, whose real name was Charles Kwadwo Fosu, came to him in a frail state.

“When Daddy came to me, he couldn’t walk. He was in a very bad state. I gave him 21 days,” the prophet stated.

According to Prophet Amoako Atta, the meeting left a profound impression on him. He said it became immediately clear that Lumba’s remaining days were sustained by spiritual grace rather than physical strength or medical intervention.

“Daddy has made such an impact that we need to celebrate him. When I met him, I immediately knew his remaining days on earth were only by grace,” he said.

Although he did not provide the exact timing of their meeting, the prophet hinted that a bond developed between them after that encounter. He emphasized that Lumba’s final chapter was not fueled by medicine but by divine mercy.

“Since then, I knew it was by grace. His rest of life was not about strength or medicine. It was grace.”

News of the singer’s demise broke on Saturday, July 26, 2025. An official statement from the Fosu family, shared via Daddy Lumba’s Facebook page and confirmed by his media platform, DL FM, announced the heartbreaking loss.

“With profound sorrow and deep grief, the Fosu family announces the passing of Ghana’s beloved musical icon, Charles Kojo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, who passed away earlier today, Saturday, July 26, 2025, after a short illness,” the statement read.

Though many fans were unaware of Lumba’s declining health, the revelation has added new weight to the grief felt across the country. The singer is being remembered not just for his music but for the enduring themes of resilience, love, and hope that defined his work.

He is hailed as a cultural figure whose lyrics and artistry touched countless lives over decades.

The Fosu family has appealed for privacy as they mourn, noting that funeral details will be made available in due time.

“When I saw Daddy Lumba, I told him he had 21 Days left. When one’s work in this life is fulfilled, we should focus on their impacts”
