Gospel singer Cee has opened up about her decision to walk away from her marriage, setting the record straight on a subject that’s often wrapped in spiritual justification. While some gospel artists have claimed divine instruction as the reason for leaving their spouses, Cee says her choice was grounded in personal survival, not prophecy.

Addressing the broader trend of gospel musicians marrying pastors, Cee explained that many make that choice believing that men of God will better understand and support their spiritual calling. It’s a belief rooted in the idea of shared purpose and ministerial alignment.
However, the gospel singer confessed with a touch of irony that she once vowed never to marry a pastor. “I rejected a number of them,” she said, only to eventually say “yes” to one.
