Ghanaian TikTok star and music promoter Ananzo Official (Eugene Ananzo Junior) has confirmed that he has yet to spend the $5,000 gifted to him by Nigerian superstar Davido, following a viral video that caught the Afrobeats icon’s attention.
In a recent feature on Joy Prime with Asieduwaa Akumia, Ananzo shared how the token of appreciation was delivered through Davido’s representatives. However, he emphasized that the funds are untouched:
“I have not touched the $5,000 Davido gave me. It is there,” he stated.
Ananzo expressed deep gratitude, remarking, “I believe God transformed himself into Davido to come and bless me and my team.”
The money stemmed from Davido’s promise after resharing Ananzo’s electrifying cover of “With You” by Davido and Omah Lay—a performance originally recorded at a car wash in Takoradi that went viral in April 2025.
Thanks to the viral exposure and Davido’s validation, Ananzo’s TikTok following soared from around 91,000 to over 600,000, and his video has since amassed more than 16 million views and 2 million likes.
Recognising the moment’s significance, he said, “It will come in the media soon,” when asked about his plans for the money.
Despite his boosting fame and windfall, Ananzo said he remains grounded as he continues to work at the washing bay that propelled his online persona while laying groundwork for his upcoming career as a music promoter.
