Popular Afro-Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has called on Ghanaians, especially social media users, to use their time and resources to help develop the nation rather than trolling.
Speaking during the Africa Prosperity Dialogue conference held in Accra on February 4, 2026, the musician bemoaned the constant trolling on social media and his decision to ignore the abuse leveled against him and his family.
He shut down suggestions that he should convert the trolling into “positive PR.” Insisting that he would rather remain quiet.
“For people to take their phones and go that far, it doesn’t help the nation. You can’t tell me to turn that into positive PR. I have had my kids insulted for nothing. That’s why I keep quiet.

“The people themselves have minds of their own. They know what they’re doing is wrong. I cannot go and pay money for PR to turn something around. It costs money,” he said.
Stonebwoy called on social media users to channel their energies into positivity and gear them towards national development.
“So let us all be positive; we have a nation to defend,” he said.
