Head pastor of Zion Prayer Ministries International, Prophet Fire Oja

Head pastor of Zion Prayer Ministries International, Prophet Fire Oja, has refuted circulating reports that he was arrested by the Ghana Police Service.

In a message posted on his official Facebook account on January 6, 2026, the cleric said he was “still chillin’ at home” and described the arrest claims as “fake.”

“Still chillin’ at home yesterday and today, vibin’ life, and ppl are runnin’ wild with fake news, sayin’ I’m in cells. I have never been arrested,” the post read.

However, some social media users have speculated that the post may have been made by a handler rather than the pastor himself, while others have called on him to go live on video to clearly dispel the rumours.

The Police Service arrested Fire Oja on January 5, 2026, in connection with allegations of defamatory statements made against musician Mzbel.

The pastor had claimed that she had been ill, hospitalised at Kasoa and had been engaging in ‘soul travel’ after her recovery.

Mzbel, in an Instagram post, had claimed she had reported the matter to the Ghana Police Service and that the pastor had been arrested.
