Amid arguments that Kwesi Arthur walked away from ‘Ground Up Chale’ without completing his contract, the rapper has denied the claims.

In a post shared on X on January 22, 2026, he insisted that he fulfilled all his contractual obligations to the label and even continued working with them afterward out of good will.

“I lived up to the contract. I did the time. Even after it was over, I decided to work with you on Son of Jacob in good faith. I carried Ground Up Chale on my back,” Kwesi wrote.

‘Blame Ground Up, Glen Boateng if anything happens to me’ – Kwesi Arthur explodes

His statement follows earlier accusations he directed at music executive Glen Boateng and members of the Ground Up Chale team, alleging intimidation, financial demands, and attempts to block his independent music releases.

In the post, the “Grind Day” rapper claimed he is now being asked to pay $150,000 to use his own image for a current project titled Redemption Valley.

Kwesi Arthur, who gained massive attention under the record label said he has had no working relationship or affiliation with the company since the release of ‘Son of Jacob’ album.

Despite this, he claimed he earned nothing from the music released during the years he was with the outfit.

He further alleged that deliberate efforts are being made to hinder the release of his independent projects and cautioned that any takedowns of his current work should be blamed on his former management.
