Legendary Ghanaian highlife musician Nana Boakye Ofori Atta, popularly known as Pozo Hayes, has revealed the reason he prefers not to collaborate with any artiste.

In an interview on Adom TV, the veteran highlife musician was asked whether any young artiste has approached him to learn from his wealth of experience.

In response he said, “No young artiste has approached me to learn anything. I’m always available if someone wants to come and learn from me,” he said.

Despite his openness to mentorship, Pozo Hayes stated that he is not interested in collaborating with any artiste on a song.

He explained that one of the main reasons is the difficulty in getting featured artistes to show up when it’s time to perform the song at an event.

According to him, this creates a gap on stage, which makes the performance incomplete.

“What I don’t want is to collaborate with any artiste because when you’re scheduled to perform somewhere, you won’t get the person to go perform with you and it leaves a vacuum in the song when performing,” he said.

Pozo Hayes added that the only way he would consider collaborating with another artiste is if the person is always available and reliable when it comes to show performances.

“If that person is someone you can consistently count on for performances, then it won’t be a problem,” he stated.
