“I Don’t Need to Fck With You, I’m Straight” – Stonebwoy Fires Back At Sarkodie

Stonebwoy has responded to Sarkodie’s latest comments in their escalating public disagreement, accusing the rapper of approaching the situation with a sense of entitlement while insisting that accountability must be part of any attempt to resolve their differences.

The dancehall musician made the remarks on X on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, continuing a public exchange that has brought renewed attention to the relationship between two of Ghana’s biggest music stars.

Stonebwoy’s latest post followed Sarkodie’s response to an earlier statement in which the rapper disputed aspects of Stonebwoy’s account of their interactions and questioned the suggestion that he expected artistes to simply “play along” with situations for their own benefit.

In his latest response, Stonebwoy challenged Sarkodie to identify people he allegedly disrespected despite maintaining relationships with them.

“My bad I had to finish the break down..” he began before directly addressing Sarkodie.

“@sarkodie feel free to kindly mention the names of the people who have disrespected you that I hang with.”

Stonebwoy then turned his attention to what he described as Sarkodie’s “landlord mentality”, arguing that the rapper appeared to believe he had the authority to determine when and how Stonebwoy should address his feelings.

“In your landlord mentality you have conveniently believed that you address my feelings anytime I have one right? Cool,” Stonebwoy wrote.

The musician also questioned what Sarkodie believed he owed him, particularly after the rapper had indicated that he was usually the one who initiated their phone conversations.

“What could you possibly owe me. When you’re the one who calls me as you have clearly indicated.. ( no man is an island we all need each other though),” he stated.

Stonebwoy added that he would have approached the situation differently if their positions had been reversed.

“And if situations were reversed I wouldn’t dare be the one to call you without a sincere apology..”

The dispute has taken an interesting turn because Stonebwoy made it clear that their professional relationship had never been the problem.

He pointed to their willingness to appear together at events, regardless of who initiated the invitation, as evidence that he had not allowed their personal differences to interfere with opportunities to work together.

“Doing shows together has never been a problem irrespective of who called,” he wrote.

Stonebwoy specifically recalled the most recent BHIMFEST at the stadium, saying Angel contacted him on behalf of Sarkodie and others who wanted to attend.

“My last BHIMFEST at the stadium Angel called chief that y’all wanted to come through I didn’t disagree..”

He also rejected any suggestion that he had failed to publicly acknowledge or support Sarkodie.

“There are videos that I have equally intentionally ‘bigged’ you up. When it didn’t even matter in the moment.”

For Stonebwoy, however, those gestures do not erase what he believes are unresolved issues between them.

“There is no need to twist your words, your videos are there to back your stance,” he added.

His strongest point came when he broadened the argument beyond his personal relationship with Sarkodie.

“WE cannot omit Accountability and Responsibility to the same issues that we seek to fix..”

That statement appears to capture the heart of Stonebwoy’s position. While the disagreement involves two artistes, his argument is that repairing strained relationships requires both sides to acknowledge their own conduct rather than focusing only on what the other person did wrong.

The latest exchange comes shortly after Stonebwoy revealed that Sarkodie reported him to the police following a confrontation at the Independence Square during Sarkodie’s virtual Black Love Concert in August 2020.

Stonebwoy made the revelation during a TikTok Live session on September 8 while recounting events surrounding their relationship.

The revelation added another layer to an already complicated history between the two artistes and has prompted renewed discussion about what happened behind the scenes.

Sarkodie has since responded to Stonebwoy’s recent claims, disputing parts of his account and offering his own perspective on their communication and relationship.

Stonebwoy’s latest post suggests that he does not intend to continue the relationship simply because the two musicians have shared stages or have a long history within Ghana’s music industry.

“I don’t need to fck with you.
    I’m straight 🙏 ‘pun intended’”

He ended the post by signalling that he was ready to move his attention away from the public dispute.

“Now let me Go and Face ‘real life issues’”

My bad I had to finish the break down.. @sarkodie feel free to kindly mention the names of the people who have disrespected you that I hang with.
