Nigerian gospel musician JudiKay
Nigerian gospel musician, Judith Kanayo, known to her fans as JudiKay, has made an unexpected, yet admirable decision to step away from her legal battle with Ezekiel ThankGod, popularly called EeZee Tee.
The latter, a renowned gospel artist and owner of the prominent record label, EeZee Concept was accused of financial impropriety involving funds generated from JudiKay’s music.
In a heartfelt statement shared on social media, JudiKay explained her decision, emphasising her commitment to unity within the Christian community.
“After prayerful consideration, I have made the deliberate decision to walk away from this entire drama and I choose to prioritise the greater good and unity of the body of Christ.
“My role as a member of the body of Christ takes precedence, and I willingly make this sacrifice, drawing strength from the knowledge that Christ is of far greater worth than any earthly possession or vindication. With this conviction, I choose to step away,” she wrote.
JudiKay’s post comes in the wake of allegations against EeZee Tee, who reportedly failed to remit $264,000 owed to her from revenues generated on platforms like YouTube.
The issue was uncovered following an independent audit conducted by Person Consulting, which flagged significant discrepancies in financial records.
While many anticipated that JudiKay would escalate the matter legally, her recent statement reveals a different approach, rooted in her unwavering faith and devotion to the teachings of Christ.
Expressing gratitude to those who supported her through the ordeal, JudiKay extended her thanks to church leaders, the gospel music community, and her family for their prayers and encouragement.
She also reiterated her dedication to her ministry, describing it as a calling she holds above all else. “My focus and commitment remain on Jesus Christ and this ministry HE entrusted in my hands,” she shared.
