Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has shared a message of compassion following the presence of singer 2Baba and his wife, Natasha Osawaru, at her 20th anniversary celebration in the film industry.

The couple, who have recently been at the center of online discussions over their relationship, were among the notable guests who attended the event.

Shortly after the celebration, Jegede took to her Instagram story to post a reflective note that many interpreted as an appeal for empathy in moments of personal crisis.

In her message, the actress highlighted the importance of respecting people’s choices and offering support rather than judgment.

“I choose to respect people’s choices.
I choose to see the good in people.
And where necessary, give them my honest opinion in private.
Show people love when they’re at their lowest; don’t throw the baby away with the bathing water.
    Two truths can co-exist.
    Shallom.
    #YJreimagined.” Her message read.

The message comes in the wake of heightened public attention on the marriage of 2Baba and Natasha Osawaru, sparked by recent online controversies.

Although Yvonne did not mention anyone directly, the tone and timing of her post have been widely linked to the ongoing discourse.

Yvonne Jegede’s 20th Nollywood anniversary event, which brought together colleagues, friends, and supporters, has continued to trend online, with many applauding her presence in the entertainment industry.
