“The questions become monotonous,” said ace broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah, explaining why she does not often grant interviews.

Avoiding “screaming headlines,” she added, was another reason.

“I like to share stories, my story. But sometimes, I just want to shush and be in my corner. Because what I’ve realized is that even when I’m joking, people don’t take it with a pinch of salt. They take everything I say seriously. That’s what I’ve noticed.”

The media star spoke to Nana Romeo on Accra 100.5 FM’s Ayekoo Ayekoo, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

“Every single thing that I say becomes a headline,” Nana Aba said, lamenting being misrepresented. “And so I try not to be the news. What I try to do is make news instead – find newsmakers and interview them. As a media personality, I don’t want to be the news.”

She mentioned that she was open to granting interviews on issues and topics of interest to both her host and the public.

“But interviews about myself… It’s just too boring for me. It’s just too much for me,” she added.
