New Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz has set the tone for his tenure after addressing the media at his first press conference in Accra on Thursday, outlining a clear plan to revive Ghana’s national team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The experienced Portuguese trainer stressed the importance of unity, discipline, and hard work, describing them as essential ingredients for success. He expressed confidence in his ability to guide the team, stating that his focus is on building a competitive and resilient side capable of delivering results on the global stage.

Queiroz also revealed his tactical approach, highlighting the need for a well-organized defense and greater efficiency in attack. He acknowledged the limited time available but assured fans that every effort will be made to prepare the team adequately for the tournament.

Touching on squad selection, the former Real Madrid manager made it clear that performance and commitment will determine who earns a place, insisting that no player will be guaranteed inclusion.

He further appealed to Ghanaians for patience and support, noting that collective backing will be crucial as he begins his mission to restore pride in the Black Stars.
