Ghanaian gospel musician, Piesie Esther, has recounted how rumors nearly ruined her chances of settling down with her husband.

In a discussion with Nana Romeo on OKAY FM, shared on Instagram on September 17, 2025, Piesie Esther shared that someone once advised her to settle with a financially stable man who is capable of providing her needs and also elevating her family from poverty.

According to Piesie Esther, the advice from the unnamed individual nearly cost her a peaceful marriage.

“I almost didn’t get married to my husband. Sometimes you can lose a good thing when you listen to the words of people. When I started becoming famous, someone big in the industry advised me to marry someone who is wealthy and can take good care of me. Because my husband wasn’t rich enough to take care of me,” she said.

Piesie Esther further noted that after careful deliberation, she decided to choose peace of mind over wealth.

According to Piesie, the individual who gave her the advice years ago, recently reached out to her to congratulate her for making a good decision.

“I prayed over it and even told a pastor who is dead. I saw all the signs because my husband is a very good man who loves to give. He is humble as well. When I met him, I also noted that he isn’t a lazy man,” she added.
