Sarkodie emphasized that he had never had marijuana in his life. He revealed that his manager, Angeltown, ate most of the biscuits, including his share.

On their way to the show, Sarkodie recounted how Angel suddenly began laughing at things that were not funny.

Soon after, Sarkodie said he also started experiencing the effects, despite having eaten only a small portion.

“I got to my hotel and they had a hamper for me. I had no idea what was inside. It had drinks, biscuits and everything. I took bites of the biscuits when I was hungry, not knowing it had marijuana. I have never taken marijuana before. Angel finished his and came for more from me,” he said.

Sarkodie further disclosed that he realised something was wrong when he asked his manager about the distance between where he was seated backstage and the actual stage.

He described the incident as the worst performance of his career, explaining that while he was performing, all his songs sounded unusually slow in his head. Ironically, all audience later told him he delivered a strong performance.

“That’s the worst performance I’ve ever had, because in my head all the songs sounded slow,” he noted.
