Leicester City manager, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, has heaped praise on Ghanaian defender, Tariq Lamptey, for a brilliant goal he scored during Brighton’s 2-2 draw with his team on December 8, 2024.
The coach indicated he was impressed with the technique Lamptey used to score a goal in the top corner for his team, which helped them earn a point in the game.
Van Nistelrooy commended the Black Stars defender and encouraged him to continue putting in the same performances in the Premier League despite not being part of his team.
“The first one was the top corner, and you have to compliment Lamptey for a brilliant goal,” the Leicester City coach told the media after the game.
Lamptey’s goal helped Brighton salvage a 2-2 draw against Leicester City to earn a point.
The defender has scored two and provided two assists in his last five matches in the Premier League.
Lamptey will be hoping to maintain his top form to aid his club side as well as the Black Stars as they prepare for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in March 2025.
