The Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, received a warm reception at Mawuli School in Ho as the institution marked its 75th anniversary celebration.
In a video post shared by GTV Ghana on X on October 25, 2025, the Minister was welcomed by the school’s cultural troupe, accompanied by the head of the school and other dignitaries.
The school’s cadet corps also honoured him with a parade and formal salutes as part of the ceremony.
Established in 1950 by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Mawuli School stands as one of Ghana’s oldest and most respected second-cycle institutions.
The school was founded to provide quality education rooted in Christian discipline and academic excellence and has since become a key pillar in the Volta Region’s educational landscape.
Over the past seven decades, Mawuli School has produced notable alumni who have excelled in politics, academia, business, and the clergy. Its motto, ‘Head, Heart and Hand’, reflects the school’s mission to nurture well-rounded individuals equipped with intellectual ability, moral integrity, and practical skills.
