Some Ghanaians were triggered after it dawned on them that Black Stars would not participate in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after the group stage draw on Monday, January 27, 2025.

Some got triggered and expressed their anger over Ghana’s failure to qualify for the tournament set to be hosted in Morocco.

Ghana failed to qualify for the 2025 AFCON after placing bottom of the group with zero wins after six games.

The tournament is slated to commence from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

The draw will have 24 teams placed into six groups of four. The top two teams in each group, along with the four best third-placed teams, will advance to the knockout stage.

Below is the full draw and reactions from Ghanaians

GROUP A: Morocco, Mali, Zambia, Comoros

GROUP B: Egypt, South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe

GROUP C: Nigeria, Tunisia, Uganda, Tanzania

GROUP D: Senegal, DR Congo, Benin, Botswana

GROUP E: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, Sudan

GROUP F: Cote d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Gabon, Mozambique
