Videos of businessman Nana Yaw Duodu, popularly known as Dr Sledge, making a lavish entrance at a past Rapperholic concert have resurfaced on social media following his recent arrest on corruption charges.
The now-trending video shows the Chief Executive Officer of Goldridge Refinery Ltd. arriving at the musical concert in a motorcade of luxury vehicles, reportedly including a Ferrari 458 Italia, a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, a Bentley Flying Spur, and a Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.
Dr Sledge was seen stepping out of one of the cars dressed in all black, accessorised with a bedazzled jacket, a gold chain, a gold wristwatch, and a gold walking stick, accompanied by a lady and a full entourage.
OSP arrests prominent businessman Dr Sledge
This display of opulence is now under public scrutiny following the Office of the Special Prosecutor’s (OSP) arrest of Dr Sledge on September 30, 2025.
The arrest relates to suspected corruption and corruption-related offences linked to the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF), particularly regarding the management of its gold trade programme.
Authorities suspect that the state lost over US$94 million due to Goldridge’s alleged failure to honour its obligations in trade transactions under the Gold for Forex and Gold for Oil initiatives.
This isn’t the first time Dr Sledge has been in the public eye for his extravagant spending. A previous video from 2019 also resurfaced, showing him purchasing the first copy of Shatta Wale’s Reign album for GH¢150,000 at a concert.
