Chaos erupted during the vetting of Minister of Health-designate, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, and Minister of Foreign Affairs-designate, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, on January 30, 2025.

The disagreement stemmed from the Minority accusing the Majority of exceeding the agreed number of nominees to be vetted in a single day.

The clash escalated into physical altercations, with microphones and tables being destroyed, and the vetting table overturned by the Minority.

The incident has since sparked widespread criticism and debate, with netizens including celebrities voicing their strong opinions about the conduct of those involved.

Here are some reactions from celebrities:

We are watching them change the narrative.. right before our eyes. Despite what we all saw!

Yes. NPP should continue in opposition, they thrive on lies… Hope they lose all the seats that were re-collated for them in the 2028 elections

It is disheartening to witness lawmakers resorting to fighting and vandalizing instead of upholding decorum and etiquette. How can we expect their supporters to act differently? This lack of respect and honor is alarming. We must strive to cultivate tolerance and responsibility… pic.twitter.com/aISELLhcNK
