Iddrisu Musah Superior is a stalwart of the NPP

A stalwart of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Iddrisu Musah Superior, has criticised the Election Review Committee of the party for its ineffectiveness in probing and determining the factors that contributed to the party’s poor performance in the 2024 Election.

According to him, the committee’s approach and methods in conducting its probe has raised genuine concerns among the party’s supporters and grassroots members.

He stated that many grassroots members from various constituencies have expressed their dissatisfaction with the committee’s work, complaining bitterly about being neglected and disregarded due to their failure to engage them, despite the crucial roles they play in the party.

“There are concerns that the NPP Election Review Committee is doing a poor job. Many people disagree with the way they are going about the job. The survey target group seems to be officers, former officers, etc.

“Reports from most constituencies clearly show that most of our grassroots party members are not happy with the committee’s work. They feel alienated or disregarded. How is it possible that a competent investigative work can be achieved without engaging with the ordinary party people?” he is quoted as saying by ghpresscentre.news.

Musah further expressed concern that the committee’s work may not yield any significant positive results and could instead lead to extremely poor recommendations, which might create further issues within the party’s structure.

He urged the party’s leadership to take immediate action to address these issues, ensuring that the Election Review Committee’s work is inclusive, data-driven, and accurately reflects the concerns of the entire NPP fraternity.

“I fear that this whole work may end up producing not good enough findings; and this may lead to (sic) recommendations in our desire to address the challenges that led to our 2024 debilitating defeat,” he cautioned.

The committee is expected to conduct probes and provide solutions based on their findings to help improve the party’s chances in future elections.
