The Black Stars, Chelsea, and football fans on social media have celebrated the late Black Stars forward Christian Atsu on his birthday.
The late footballer would have turned 33 years old today, January 10, 2025.
To mark the former footballer’s birthday, the official X (formerly Twitter) handle for the Black Stars shared a video compilation of Atsu’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, where he was named the player of the tournament.
“On what would have been your birthday, we remember and celebrate the incredible person and player you were, Christian Atsu. Your legacy with the #BlackStars lives on,” the Black Stars wrote.
His former clubs, including Chelsea and Newcastle United, all took to social media, specifically X, to celebrate the deceased Ghanaian.
Some football fans and blogs joined in as they penned their birthday wishes to Christian Atsu.
Atsu tragically passed away after being trapped under rubble during an earthquake in Turkey that claimed more than 46,000 lives.
