Ghanaian model and actress, Nana Akua Addo, has opened up on how a moment on the red carpet defined her journey and aligned her purpose in the world of fashion.

Speaking in an interview with TV3 on October 7, 2025, the fashion goddess disclosed that her passion for fashion has always been part of her, but it took years of hard work and mentorship to reach her current level.

“I think it’s always been there, I’ve had some of the great mentors in Ghana to mentor me. I think it didn’t come easy, I worked and I’ve earned the spot.

‘I never want to clash looks with anyone on the red carpet’ – Nana Akua Addo

“It started from modelling, I’ve tried acting and now fashion. I guess I tried every little thing and I found one thing that works for me which is fashion” she said.

According to her, being crowned ‘Best Dressed’ on the red carpet was the turning point that shaped her career and defined her purpose in the fashion industry.

“That day Oscar named me best dressed on the red carpet, that day just aligned my purpose in fashion when I won best dressed because I was ushered into the fashion world” she stated.

Nana Akua added, “People got to know me more of fashion than acting and I didn’t want to let that opportunity slide. It paved way for me and here we are today.”
