Cliver Huamán was giving updates of the final on a hill

At just 15 years old, Cliver Huamán, better known on social media as Pol Deportes, proved that passion and determination can overcome any obstacle.

On Saturday, November 29, 2025, he traveled 18 hours from his hometown of Andahuaylas to Lima to cover the Copa Libertadores final between Flamengo and Palmeiras, a match he couldn’t attend in person due to his age.

Undeterred, Cliver found a creative solution. He climbed to the top of a hill next to the Universitario Stadium, overlooking the pitch, and set up his phone on a tripod to broadcast the game live.

From this vantage point, he commentated play by play, bringing the excitement of Flamengo’s 1-0 victory directly to his audience.

The response was immediate and overwhelming. Almost 47,000 viewers tuned in live, and since then, his videos have garnered over 10 million views, touching fans worldwide and highlighting the dedication of a young journalist chasing his dream.

Cliver’s story has become more than just a viral moment; it is a testament to perseverance, creativity, and passion.

Despite being underage and lacking official accreditation, he found a way to do what many adults would find impossible, showing that determination can overcome any barrier.

Looking ahead, Cliver isn’t slowing down. The young commentator is already setting his sights on the Peruvian football playoffs between Alianza Lima and Sporting Cristal, determined to continue building his platform to inspire a new generation of sports fans.
