A man has been found dead in a popular reserve south of Brisbane
Emergency responders were called to Reserve Park in the Logan suburb of Slack Creek about 7am Wednesday after a resident came across the grim discovery.
A crime scene has been declared and police are working to identify the man.
Forensic officers were seen photographing a thong, headphones and hat on a nearby park bench.
Investigations into the cause of the man’s death continue.
The man’s death shocked locals in the usually quiet neighbourhood.
‘I’m quite upset to think someone dead is lying over there, a long-time local told the Courier Mail.
Another woman added: ‘We’ve lived in this house for 18 years. It’s the first time something like this has happened.’
