The home-based contingent of the Ghana national team, the Black Stars, has departed for Mexico ahead of an international friendly against the host nation on May 22, 2026.
The locally-based players travelled with members of the technical team as preparations continue for the high-profile encounter, which is expected to help the coaching staff assess talent from the Ghana Premier League.
Among the players in the travelling squad is Salim Adams of Medeama SC, who impressed during the domestic season. Razak Simpson, captain of Nations FC, also earned a call-up after consistent displays in defence.
The squad also includes Ebenezer Abban, Ebenezer Adade, and Benjamin Asare.
Foreign-based players are expected to join the team before the match as Ghana continue preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
