As the saying goes, “true love never dies,” even in the face of controversies and challenges.

This sentiment seems to have been affirmed by Akosua Serwaa, the wife of the late Ghanaian highlife legend, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, through a statement she made in a recent interview.

Just when many Ghanaians believed the controversy surrounding Daddy Lumba’s passing had died down, her return to the country reignited public interest.

In a recent interview with Adom TV, aired on January 17, 2026, Akosua Serwaa made statements that have since stirred widespread discussion among netizens.

During the interview, Akosua Serwaa was asked to describe her late husband in just one sentence.

She bluntly stated that the late Daddy Lumba was the epitome of love.

“Ghanaians, thank you all for the love and prayers you have given me. He (Daddy Lumba) is the true definition of love,” she said.

Her statement has since triggered massive reactions on social media, particularly from her support group identified as “Team Legal Wives.”

The group has praised Akosua Serwaa Fosu for her love and boldness, despite the numerous criticisms targeted at her, following the demise of her late husband and the controversies surrounding it.
