President John Dramani Mahama has signed eight bills into law, effective today, April 2, 2025. This action fulfills several key campaign promises made during the 2024 elections.

Ahead of the 2024 general elections, the John Mahama campaign pledged to reduce the financial burden on Ghanaians and stimulate economic growth by abolishing some taxes which it deemed as nuisance taxes.
