Entertainment personalities who were present to farewell to the late Dada KD

Scores of entertainers and creative arts industry personalities gathered at the State House on September 20, 2025, to bid a final farewell to veteran Highlife musician Dada KD.

The final burial rites of the late singer drew a large crowd of musicians, actors, producers, and sympathisers, all united in mourning Dada KD, whose songs left an indelible mark on the Ghanaian music scene.

The event was graced by several notable personalities, including Empress Gifty, Broda Sammy, Diana Asamoah, Fred Kyei Mensah, Salinko, Pat Thomas, Ohemaa Woyeje, Amakye Dede, Socrate Safo, Rex Omar, Piesie Esther, Roman Fada, Papa Solo, Barima Sydney, Florence Obinim, Oheneba Kissi, and KK Fosu, among many others.

Some musicians, including Florence Obinim and Diana Asamoah, mounted the stage to perform songs in tribute to Dada KD, adding emotional depth to the ceremony and comforting the mourners gathered at the State House.

Dada KD passed away on May 16, 2025, just days before he was scheduled to perform in London on May 25, 2025, alongside Obrafour, Slim Buster, and Kojo Blakk.

Following the State House funeral service, the mortal remains of the late singer is set to be transported to his hometown, Kwadaso in the Ashanti Region, where he will be laid to rest.

In June 2025, a one-week observance had been held at the East Legon Executive Club House.

That event also saw in attendance dignitaries such as, Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration); Akwasi Agyeman, former Ghana Tourism Authority CEO; Highlife musician Kaakyire Kwame Appiah; and representatives of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA).
