As 2025 unfolds, the Ghanaian creative arts scene is buzzing with conversations about some promising individuals in the space.

From who deserves to win the coveted Artiste of the Year title to which albums are expected, the air has been hot with anticipation.

From rising stars to established names, here are 10 creatives expected to make huge strides this year.

    1. AratheJay

After surprising fans in late 2024 with his hit single “Jesus Christ,” featuring a remix with Black Sherif,

AratheJay is poised to make a big splash in 2025 with more projects and an even bigger fanbase.

    2. King Paluta

King Paluta ended 2024 on a high note with three major hit songs and a touching performance in the UK.

His album Give Time Some Time, released in December 2024, is already making waves, setting him up for success in 2025.

    3. KiDi

With “Lomo Lomo” dominating the charts and an album set to drop in 2025, KiDi is ready to make a strong comeback.

Fans are hoping it will be big enough to bring him back into the Artiste of the Year conversation.

    4. Quamina MP

Known for his unique voice and dynamic stage presence, Quamina MP is gearing up for a comeback.

His recent performances at EL’s Bar 7 and Medikal’s Beyond Kontrol concert set the stage for his 2025 album release and a return to the limelight.

5 & 6: George Quaye and Naa Ashorkor

The theatre scene experienced a major resurgence in 2023 with the success of “The Gods Are Not To Blame,” of which George Quaye’s Image Bureau productions and Naa Ashorkor’s April Communications were patrons.

The play’s success led to a rerun in 2024 and paved the way for various other collaborations such as “The Legend of Aku Sika,” “Beyond The Walls,” “Run For Your Wife,” and various other productions, which served as a stepping stone to an industry that needed a boost.

But the two playwrights are not done; they are set to continue making strides in 2025 with more productions focused on educating and inspiring audiences.

    7. Chief Moomen

Known for his unique blend of poetry and storytelling, Chief Moomen is preparing to take centre stage again in 2025 with a series of new projects, promising another strong year for theatre.

    8. Kweku Smoke

Kweku Smoke took everyone by storm with his successful back-to-back releases, which have won him the hearts of a massive wave of fans, along with his Revival concert in December 2024.

With more shows and an album planned for 2025, he’s expected to take over the airwaves this year.

    9. King Promise

King Promise had a stellar year in 2024, with hits dominating the airwaves and a near-win for the Artiste of the Year title.

But the ‘Terminator’ hitmaker is still not done. His “True to Self” album is nominated for the 2025 Trace TV awards, and he’s expected to release more music to solidify his place at the 2025 TGMAs.

    10. Black Sherif

Since his breakout in 2022, Black Sherif has been consistently releasing hits. Fans are eagerly awaiting his sophomore album in 2025, which is expected to make the same impact as his debut.
