Heavily armed police have stormed a suburban home and ordered the occupants out at gunpoint during a late-night raid in Sydney‘s south-west.
Tactical officers swarmed on the Isis Street home in Fairfield West on Sunday night.
Police used a loud speaker to order the occupants inside to come out with their hands up, according to shocked witnesses.
At least three women came out holding up their hands before they were surrounded by officers.
Police cleared the property with the assistance of a drone as detectives launched an investigation.
Footage showed the blocked off street swarming with police vehicles, including a BearCat.
Stunned neighbours watched on from their front lawns.
The reason for the police operation remains unclear.
A NSW Police spokeswoman declined to provide any further information about the raid due to ‘operational reasons’.
