Bibiani Gold Stars FC secured a dramatic 2-1 victory over Accra Hearts of Oak SC in their Ghana Premier League clash at Dun’s Park, keeping their title ambitions firmly on track.

The hosts struck first in the 18th minute when Samuel Kumi Atta found space inside the box and finished calmly to hand Gold Stars an early advantage. Hearts responded with greater urgency after the break and were rewarded in the 64th minute as Henry Kwaku Boateng rose to equalise, silencing the home crowd and setting up a tense finale.

With both sides pushing for a decisive goal, the contest opened up in the closing stages. It was Gold Stars who delivered the telling blow in the 87th minute when Augustine Boakye capitalised on a defensive lapse to fire home the winner.

Hearts pressed late in search of another equaliser but were denied by a resolute Gold Stars defence. The result strengthens Gold Stars’ position near the summit, while Hearts are left to regroup ahead of their next league assignment.
