Former Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has rejected claims that Sweden legend and former Inter Milan teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic is arrogant and intimidating.

According to Muntari, the former Manchester United player exuded confidence and believed in his abilities.

Muntari played with Ibrahimovic at both Inter Milan and AC Milan, winning trophies together as teammates.

“As a teammate, Ibrahimovic wasn’t intimidating at all. He just wanted the best out of you. He won games easily for whichever team he played for. I managed to play with him during his early years at Inter during his first season, then we met again at Milan,” he told 3 Sports.

Muntari believes Ibrahimovic could have won at least one Ballon d’Or during his career but was denied the award because he spoke his mind.

“Ibrahimovic is a top player, one of the best of his time. They didn’t want to give him the Ballon d’Or because he speaks his mind,” he said. “Sometimes they don’t like to hear that, but Ibrahimovic is massive,” he added.

The former Ghana international also included Ibrahimovic in his list of top strikers of all time.

“My best strikers of all time are [Samuel] Eto’o, Ibrahimovic and [Thierry] Henry,” he said.
