Ghanaian actor Kwaku Manu has weighed in on the ongoing public debate surrounding the arrest of Ebo Noah.

Ebo Noah, whose real name is Evans Eshun, shot to online prominence after posting a series of videos in which he claimed God had revealed an impending flood to him and instructed him to construct an ark to save lives. The dramatic declarations quickly spread across social media, drawing both believers and skeptics, and pushing him into the national spotlight.

As his popularity surged, the attention carried him beyond the internet. He eventually appeared on stage at Sarkodie’s Rapperholic concert in Accra, a moment that further cemented his status as a viral sensation.

When the predicted flood failed to materialize, authorities stepped in. Ebo Noah was arrested and later arraigned before a court on Friday, January 2, 2026. Prosecutors charged him with false communication with the intent to cause fear and panic among the public. The court subsequently ordered that he be remanded in police custody for two weeks and directed that he undergo a psychological assessment ahead of the next adjourned hearing on January 16, 2026.

Reacting to the development, Kwaku Manu, in a video sighted by Zionfelix.net, appealed to the authorities to temper justice with mercy. While acknowledging that the law must be respected, the actor argued that Ebo Noah’s actions were rooted more in misguided content creation than criminal intent.

Manu stated that Ebo Noah crossed the line while chasing attention and relevance, adding that desperation and hunger may have influenced his judgment.
