Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer is a player of Hamburg

Hamburger SV are in talks to renew the contract of Ghana international Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer following his standout performances in the 2024/25 season, which helped the club secure a long-awaited return to the German Bundesliga.

Yeboah, 23, has been a key figure for HSV, scoring 14 goals in 32 matches, the second-highest tally for the club this season.

His impressive campaign was capped off with a brilliant brace in a 6-1 demolition of SSV Ulm 1846, sealing promotion with one game to spare.

It marks Hamburg’s return to the top flight for the first time since 2018, ending a seven-year stay in the Bundesliga.

Since joining from Dynamo Dresden in 2022, Yeboah has played over 90 league matches for the club, growing into a vital attacking force.

His speed, versatility, and eye for goal have made him a fan favourite and a key part of coach Steffen Baumgart’s system.

According to reports from Kicker, club officials are eager to tie him down ahead of the 2025/26 campaign to fend off potential interest from other Bundesliga sides.

Yeboah’s rise is, however, yet to catch the eye of Black Stars head coach Otto Addo, who has left him out of the team since his second coming.

But with Yeboah’s current form, he looks set to be a crucial asset for both club and country in the years ahead.
