Ghanaian singer, Gyakie, has said she is gradually learning to toughen up in the face of public scrutiny, though she admits the pressure still gets to her at times.

Speaking on Hitz FM in a discussion with Kwame Dadzie, the “Forever” singer was asked whether she had developed a thick skin after years in the music industry.

Gyakie responded with candor, reflecting on the balance between resilience and human vulnerability.

“I am growing a tough skin…yes I have it but sometimes you can’t just help it because it’s blood that’s running through your body, it’s not anything else. Sometimes it will pinch you a little bit but you just have to toughen up,” she said.

Gyakie’s comments shed light on the emotional challenges that come with being in the spotlight, where constant judgment and criticism can weigh heavily on artistes despite their efforts to remain strong.
