Emmanuel Johnson, the Volta Regional Chief Engineer of Ghana Water Limited (GWL), has paid a working visit to his counterpart at the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to strengthen institutional collaboration and enhance service delivery.
The engagement provided a platform for both regional heads to exchange views on operational challenges and explore practical strategies for deepening cooperation towards a more harmonious and productive year.
Welcoming the delegation, Christina Jatoe-Kaleo, the Regional General Manager of ECG, congratulated Emmanuel Johnson on his appointment.
She appealed to GWL to take steps to reduce its indebtedness to ECG, noting that the water utility company remains one of ECG’s major debtors in the region.
Emmanuel Johnson acknowledged the outstanding financial obligations and suggested that the issue be addressed at the Head Office level of both organisations to ensure an amicable and sustainable resolution.
He further noted GWL’s appreciation for earlier technical recommendations from ECG in the Volta Region regarding adjustments to transformer tap settings at GWL’s headworks, adding that GWL’s Head Office had responded positively to the proposals.
He also commended ECG for its continued technical support.
Emmanuel Johnson was accompanied by Radford Djan Amo, the Regional Production Manager.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of both institutions to strengthening collaboration in the interest of efficient, reliable, and improved public service delivery.
