What was arguably Ghana’s biggest music experience of 2025 just ended, and many of those who experienced it can admit that GT Bank Ghana didn’t pull any punches when it comes to delivering their promises.

The second edition of the GTCO Music Concert, held at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, December 19, 2025, boasted a night filled with amazing performances from some of the biggest stars from Ghana and Nigeria.

GTBank set to host second edition of biggest free music concert in Ghana

    From the Start

As at around 8 pm when the GhanaWeb team arrived, the set-up was well done, security was tight, and fans were already trooping into the stands.

While the popular stands were gradually filling up, VIPs were treated to a variety of treats, dishes, drinks, and desserts from the various vendors lined up across the VIP area while jamming to the music being played by the DJ.

Around 12 am, when the crowd had grown tired of the songs, Ghana’s finest hypeman/MC Kojo Manuel and DJ Vyrusky came to the stage to put the audience back in the spirits.

Shortly after, Nigeria’s Patoranking climbed the stage to treat the audience to his greatest hits, even performing with a live band and Ghana’s finest dance group, DWP Academy.

He was then followed by Ghana’s reigning Artiste of the Year, King Promise, who dazzled the audience with his biggest hits. Giving the audience a sneak peek at what to expect in 2026.

Nigeria’s hit sensations Joe Boy and Fire Boy graced the stage and electrified the audience with their mix of songs ranging from Afro R&B to Afrobeats to everything in between.

Everlasting Ghanaian rap duo came up next to show everyone why they remain undisputed in the music scene.

    Then came the top four

Arya Starr came out looking dashing as ever, and she used her vocal cords to thrill the audience with a powerful performance featuring her biggest hit songs.

The King of Ghanaian rap, Sarkodie, also delivered as usual. Treating the audience to his biggest hits.

While the audience was speculating about who between Shatta Wale and Burna Boy would come out first, the audience was entertained with another DJ session with Kojo Manuel and DJ Vyrusky.

Eventually, the decision was made, and Burna Boy came out next to an ecstatic audience. He gave them what they wanted, his biggest hits, and an astounding performance.

But the highlight of his performance was when a fan rushed on the stage and handed Burna Boy some cash. The artiste, obviously touched by the gesture, received the money, declaring, “This is why I love Ghana; someone gave me money,” before taking the fan with him backstage.

Up next was the artiste everyone had been waiting for, the Street King himself. And the rest is history.

But this doesn’t mean the event was without its own faults. Sound issues affected King Promise and Arya Starr; the crowd in the stands got unruly at a point, throwing missiles and breaching the barriers on multiple occasions. But all that is to be expected from a free event.

But overall, the GTCO Music Concert was an event many would place in the top events of 2025.
