Dzifa Gomashie captured during the chaos in parliament

At the time tensions escalated between the Minority and Majority over the vetting of some MPs, Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, expressed disgust over the conduct of the NPP MPs in Parliament.

The Majority MPs on the Appointments Committee insisted on continuing the vetting session beyond 10 PM, but the Minority strongly opposed it, insisting they were done for the day.

The situation grew increasingly chaotic as the Minority began overturning tables, causing microphones to fall and break, among others.

Almost leading to physical altercations, Minority MPs clashed with their Majority counterparts.

Witnessing what she described as the NPP MPs’ disruptive behaviour, which netizens have perceived as a tactic to halt the vetting process for their own benefit, Dzifa Gomashie could no longer contain her frustration.

She yelled out, “Grow up! Grow up!”

Dzifa Gomashie, who was part of the delegation that arrived for the vetting of the Minister for Foreign Affairs-designate, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, angrily told the NPP MPs, “You lost miserably. It’s terrible. You lost the election, get over it. You lost the freakin’ election. John Mahama is still president, get over it!”
