Kofi Adams, John Paintsil were in attendance to grace the occasion

Grotto FC clinched the 2025 Ahanta Sportyfest title with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Nana Etsen Kofi FC at Aboade Nana Etsen Kofi Park on Sunday, July 20, 2025.

The tournament, initiated by Mavis Kukua Bissue, Member of Parliament for Ahanta West, featured eight teams vying for glory.

Organised in collaboration with OneWorld Sports, the event aimed to uncover and nurture local talent while providing opportunities for growth and exposure.

Following an exhilarating round-robin stage, Grotto FC and Nana Etsen Kofi FC advanced to the final, delivering a match of exceptional quality and intensity.

The tournament also served as a platform to foster unity and cohesion among the communities of Ahanta West, a key objective emphasised by Mavis Kukua Bissue.

The final was graced by distinguished guests, including Kofi Adams, Minister of Sports and Recreation; John Paintsil, Assistant Coach of the Black Stars; Coach Basigi; and Sammy Anim Addo, a renowned sports administrator and promoter.

In her remarks before presenting the trophy, Mavis Kukua Bissue praised all participating teams, with special recognition for the champions, Grotto FC.

She underscored the importance of unity and collaboration, noting that the constituency’s development depends on the collective spirit of its people.
