Greenlanders have started mocking ‘American culture’ by posing as fentanyl addicts in social media videos.

Inunnguaq Christian Poulsen, from Greenland’s capital, Nuuk, posted the clip to his TikTok channel, which saw him and a woman demonstrating the so-called ‘fentanyl fold’ in the snow.

The pair let their arms hang loose while bent all the way over from the waist, slumped forward, in a rigid position. Their heads are bowed, and their knees are bent.

On the post, the TikTok user shared with his 26,300 followers the caption: ‘Bringing American culture to Greenland’.

The position, also known as the ‘fenty lean’ or ‘zombie drug stance’, is generally seen in users of fentanyl – a powerful synthetic opioid drug, driving the overdose crisis in the US.

Footage of addicts in the US has made its rounds on social media in recent months, showing large groups of users on public streets with their heads bowed toward their knees, appearing semi-conscious.

The pair appears to be mocking the substance abuse, which they have dubbed ‘American culture’, amid growing tensions between Greenland and the USA as Donald Trump pushes for control of the Arctic region.

But on Wednesday, Trump told European leaders that he had ruled out using force to acquire Greenland.

Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Trump claimed the US ‘won’ the Second World War while highlighting the importance of Greenland for American security.

He said: ‘After the war, we gave Greenland back. How stupid were we to do that? But we did it. How ungrateful are they now?

‘So now our country and the world face greater risks than it ever did before because of weapons of warfare that I can’t even talk about.’

He confirmed the US will not use military force to acquire Greenland amid tensions between the US and Europe.

‘We probably won’t get anything unless I decide to use excessive strength and force, where we would be, frankly, unstoppable,’ he said.

‘But I won’t do that. Okay. Now everyone says, oh, good.’

He said he wanted ‘full ownership’ of the Arctic island as opposed to a boosted agreement, saying: ‘All we’re asking for is to get Greenland, including the right title and ownership, because you need the ownership to defend it. You can’t defend it on a lease.’

Ahead of the meeting in Switzerland, Trump reiterated that there was ‘no going back’ on his threats to take control of Greenland.

He promised an ‘interesting’ trip, telling reporters he believed it would be ‘very successful’ despite weeks of friction with NATO allies over his demands to take over the Arctic territory.

His trip to the Alpine resort comes after Trump was dubbed a ‘bully’ over his attempts to acquire the strategic island from Denmark, with many warning such moves risked plunging US ties with the European Union into a ‘downward spiral’.

When he was asked on Tuesday at a lengthy White House briefing about how far he was willing to go to get the country, the Republican leader said: ‘You’ll find out.’

It comes after Trump published messages showing French President Emmanuel Macron’s confusion over the US President’s plans to take control of Greenland.

Trump posted screenshots on his Truth Social platform showing Macron offering to host a meeting with ‘Ukrainians, the Danish, the Syrians, and the Russians’ and inviting the US president to dinner in Paris.

‘My friend, we are totally in line on Syria. We can do great things on Iran,’ Macron wrote. ‘I do not understand what you are doing on Greenland. Let us try to build great things.’

But there will be no G7 summit scheduled for this week. ‘No meeting is scheduled. The French presidency is willing to hold one,’ Macron said after he delivered his speech to the World Economic Forum on Tuesday.

The message emerged after Macron declined Trump’s invitation to join his so-called Board of Peace initiative, prompting the US leader to threaten 200 per cent tariffs on wine and champagne.

Macron had said ‘at this stage’ he was not planning on serving with Trump’s group, which is intended to create the second phase of the Gaza peace plan.

In the text, Macron promised to assemble a G7 following the World Economic Forum in Davos and asked Trump to have dinner with him in Paris on Thursday before he returns to the US

‘Well, nobody wants him because he’s going to be out of office very soon,’ Trump told reporters on Monday.

Trump then escalated his threat of a trade war with Europe.

‘What I’ll do is, if they feel hostile, I’ll put a 200 percent tariff on his wines and champagnes, and he’ll join,’ Trump said before boarding a flight to Washington. ‘But he doesn’t have to join.’

Trump has already suggested imposing tariffs on France and several other European nations for opposing his actions in Greenland.
