The Governing Board of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), chaired by Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has undertaken a familiarisation tour of key GPHA-owned facilities to deepen its understanding of their operations and strategic needs.

The tour, which took place on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, included visits to the Jamestown Fishing Harbour, the Tema Fishing Harbour, the GPHA Health Post at the Tema Fishing Harbour, the GPHA Main Clinic, and the International Maritime Hospital (IMaH).

At each facility, management teams made detailed presentations to the Board, outlining their mandates, day-to-day operations, major accomplishments and medium- to long-term development plans.

The briefings also provided insights into operational challenges and opportunities for improvement.

Addressing officials during the tour, Asiedu Nketiah praised the management of the various facilities for their dedication and effective leadership.

He assured them of the Board’s readiness to offer the necessary policy guidance and support to enhance efficiency, improve service delivery and maximise the potential of GPHA’s assets.
