Gospel artiste Nii Kwei has urged his colleagues to remain true to their calling and not let the opinions of others influence them.

According to him, true ministry is not measured by applause or criticism but by obedience to God’s direction.

In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Nii Kwei noted that every Gospel minister will encounter criticism along the way.

He explained that while negative comments are inevitable, they should never become a distraction from one’s calling.

“Criticism is like noise; everyone will experience it, but you don’t let it distract you. But I believe it’s essential to listen to your inner spirit, which is God. Whatever God tells you to do is what you should do,” he said.

The artiste shared that his ministry is built on three principles: love, consistency, and intentionality. He described love as the foundation of his work, saying that anyone who has God must also have love.

“If you have God, you have love; if you have love, you have everything. My ministry is rooted in love; wherever I go, it shines through my outreach and interactions,” he explained.

He also pointed out that consistency is what sustains a Gospel artiste’s relevance over time. According to him, remaining steadfast in producing music and staying focused has been possible only through God’s grace.

On intentionality, Nii Kwei said it is about going beyond one’s comfort zone to break barriers and impact lives.

“This pushes you beyond the status quo and your comfort zone, enabling you to break barriers. I have made it a priority to be intentional with my music and outreach efforts,” he added.
