Ghanaian gospel musician Rose Adjei has expressed dissatisfaction with some gospel artistes who believe it is wrong to collaborate with secular musicians.

In an interview with Okay FM, shared on social media on June 26, 2025, Rose Adjei argued that those opposing collaborations with secular artistes are ignorant and misunderstand what Christianity truly entails.

The “Nyame Ye” hitmaker explained that performing secular music does not necessarily make someone a sinner.

“There is something I want everyone to understand is that the fact someone does secular music doesn’t make the person a sinner. Also, the fact that someone does gospel music doesn’t mean the person is a Christian.

“They don’t understand a lot of things in the bible. It is even a plus if I collaborate with secular artiste such as Kofi Kinaata and the Christendom,” she said.

She added that collaborations between gospel and secular musicians can help bring non-believers to Christianity.

“Collaborating with secular artistes can encourage people who feel they don’t need God, or don’t attend church, to join Christianity. Jesus didn’t die for believers only; He came for sinners,” she concluded.
