Ghanaian musician and dancer, Mr. Drew has opined that a good song would eventually blow up even if it’s not a song people can easily dance to.

“No I don’t share the same opinion that danceable songs blow up so easily because first of all the song has to be a good song,” he remarked in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com

“Because if the song is not a good one how do we even dance to it in the first place so the first thing you have to look at is having a good song”.

Citing Fameye’s ‘Very Soon’ as a typical example, he said though the song didn’t come with a dance challenge, it was able to make waves across the globe.

“A good song comes first because if the song is good, it makes everything easier like Fameye’s song Very Soon,” he told Amansan Krakye on Property FM.

“Fameye didn’t do any dance challenge but he had one of the big songs last year so it’s not necessarily about dance but it’s an add-up,” he continued.

“Very Soon’ did well and it didn’t blow up because it’s danceable but it blew up because the song was good and so I believe that the song has to be good and everything else will follow”.
