As Ghana gets ready for the 2024 elections, Prophet Kofi Oduro, the founder and head of Alabaster International Ministry, has given a stern message to the nation’s lawmakers. In a lecture titled “Put Your House in Order,” Prophet Oduro spoke to his audience on Sunday and discussed what he called the moral faults of certain political individuals. He forewarned that politicians who cheat on their spouses will lose the next election.

The prophet chastised politicians who frequently appear with younger ladies or engage in extramarital romances rather than campaigning alongside their spouses. Oduro claims that this conduct damages their reputation and integrity and that it will have detrimental effects on their political careers. Since their behavior goes against the moral standards that the public expects from their leaders, he predicted that such people will not win in the 2024 elections.

The concept of political honor was also contested by Prophet Oduro, who asserted that people who cheat on their marriages are not genuinely “Honorable.” He underlined that integrity and respect for others, including one’s family, are the foundations of honor. “A true honorable person is someone who lives righteously, not someone who betrays their spouse,” he said. During his speech, Prophet Oduro called on politicians to live morally upright lives, embracing Christianity and acting in accordance with the principles of the Bible. He emphasized in his conclusion that the public will only respect and trust leaders who lead with moral character and honesty in the upcoming elections.
